Hard Choices (#28)
Bible version used: NIV
#28 HARD CHOICES
We weren’t planning to have another child and our children are older, so when I found I was pregnant, I made a hard choice...
We both have careers that are important to us, so when I found I was pregnant, I made a hard choice...
I wasnt’ finished with my education when I found I was pregnant, so I made a hard choice...
My husband does not have a very good job, so when I found I was pregnant, I made a hard choice...
Bill left me when I got pregnant, so I made a hard choice...
I had an abortion, but I wish I hadn’t.
I didn’t realize that I stopped a beating heart.
I didn’t realize how much guilt I would experience by aborting my baby.
I didn’t realize how many loving parents are waiting to adopt a baby like mine.
I now know that abortion is not the answer.
I can never forget what I have done, but I have found both forgiveness and love.
My friend loved me enough to tell me about Jesus Christ—that He came to save us from our sins—that He died on the cross to pay the full penalty for all my sins and that He rose again and lives today. Because of Jesus, I can be right with God—no matter what I have done. Because of Jesus, my life has meaning—no matter what is in my past. I have never known such love or such peace.
If you are facing hard choices, try giving:
Give life to your baby.
Give your baby to adoptive parents.
Give your life to Jesus. He gave his life for you.
These are hard but wonderful choices you will never regret.
Psalms 32:1
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
John 3:16, 17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
