Tract Text:

•HE CAME•

His first appearance was so important that even now, 2,000 years later, we celebrate his birthday at Christmas. Yet he spent only 3 years teaching and preaching before he was killed. Why is he important?

He came the first time to solve the basic problem of mankind: the sin problem which separates people from God. Jesus is the only son of God who came to rescue mankind from sin.

His teachings are wonderful. You can read the story of his life in two hours in one of the short books (called Gospels) written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

But more important than what he said is what he did. Although he never sinned, he took the punishment due us because of our sins. He died for us. Those who accept him as their substitute will not have to pay for their sins. This is God’s plan for rescuing mankind.

•HE WENT BACK•

God showed his approval of Jesus’ work by raising him from the dead. After proving beyond doubt that he was alive again, Jesus returned to his Father in heaven. He is there now. He helps his church spread throughout the world and delights to hear and answer the prayers of his followers. He guides history to the point where he will return.

•HE WILL COME AGAIN•

On many occasions he clearly stated that he will come again. Since everything predicted about his first coming has come true, and everything else he said has come true, it is certain that this prediction will also come true. What will he do when he returns?

When Jesus comes again, he won’t come as a weak baby in a poor stable. He won’t come to die again for our sins. He will come as King of the universe in majesty and honor. No one living will miss his return, and everyone who has ever lived will be brought before him for judgment.

How will you stand in that judgment? The key to your being acquitted or condemned is your relationship with Jesus.

Are you ready for his coming? You can get ready by inviting Jesus into your heart today.

“Thank you God for loving me and for sending your son to die for my sins. I sincerely repent of my sins and receive Jesus as my savior. I turn my life over to you. Amen.”

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Hebrews 9:27, 28

Prepare to meet thy God!
Amos 4:12

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

‘He’
is Jesus, the son of God, who came to earth to save us.

It is important to know about these extraordinary events because, through Jesus, God opens the doors of heaven to all who believe.

Jesus is God’s answer to a world ruined by sin.
