#157 JESUS SAVES

Perhaps you have seen these works on a billboard or on a banner in a stadium.

The phrase JESUS SAVES comes from the Bible. The words save, saved, Saviour, and salvation are found hundreds of times in God’s word.

Jesus is the Saviour, the one who saves
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

Jesus came to save lost sinners
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15

Jesus is the only one who can save
Be it known unto you all...that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole...Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:10-12

Jesus gives us the faith we need to be saved
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8, 9

Jesus saves only those who believe in him
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

Jesus saves anyone who asks him
...believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31

...whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Jesus saves now and forever
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us...That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5, 7

Jesus wants you to be saved today
...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

...There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:21, 22
