Tract Text:

THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

I am giving you this short note to assure you of my sympathy with you in your illness and to express my sincere wish for your early recovery.

The value of bodily well-being is usually not realized until one’s health is impaired. It is good for you to desire to become well again. It is appropriate to seek the best care that is available.

Will you allow me to remind you that it is your privilege also to express this desire in prayer to the Great Physician, Jesus, to ask him to bless the means being used for your recovery? He is the great healer and he demonstrated that repeatedly during his brief ministry on earth.

 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Matthew 4:23

Even today he is able and willing to grant his divine blessing to all those who suffer in body or in soul. Do not forget to ask him for his blessing over the care and assistance which is being given to you.

Call upon me in the day of trouble;
 I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Psalm 50:15

During times of illness and hardship, many explore their relationship with God. Have you given thought to that question? Jesus has some comforting words for such times:

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

My hope is that you will consider the love of Jesus for you during these days of illness and recovery. This is a time to throw yourself into the loving arms of Jesus, confessing your sins and walking closely with him the rest of your days.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2
