Tract Text:

Someone told me that Jesus saves.
So I looked for Jesus.
I looked for Jesus at Chistmas
but all I found was tinsel and noise.
I looked for Jesus in Bethlehem
but all I found was people at war.
I looked for Jesus at Calvary,
but the cross was empty.
I looked for Jesus at the tomb.
It was empty too.
I looked for Jesus in church and I found him.
I found him in the hearts of those who love him.

What does it mean to believe in Jesus?
1. To believe means to hear and accept the WORDS of Jesus. Jesus said: John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Believing in a person means to trust what he says. He taught us how to live. He exposed our sins. He revealed God the Father to us. He promised eternal life to his followers. He explained the work He had come to do.
John 6:36 . . . the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
2. To believe means to accept and trust the WORKS of Jesus. Believing in Jesus is more than believing that He was a good man who spoke profound truths. It means to acknowledge that He came to do something no one else could do. He suffered and died as the sinless Son of God to pay the penalty of our sins and to save all who believe from eternal condemnation.
To believe means to admit that we are guilty before God and fall into the loving arms of Jesus and count on Him alone for salvation. Then the saving work of Jesus reconciles us to God and restores us to God’s family. At the end of His life, Jesus said to His Father: John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth:
I have finished the work which thou gavest
me to do.
Matthew 20:28 ... the Son of man came not
to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to
give his life a ransom for many.
3. To believe means to acknowledge and honor the WORTH of Jesus. Jesus is worthy of all honor and praise because He is the Son of God. His rising from the dead proved this. The bible says that He is not only the Savior of mankind, but the creator and sustainer of the universe, the light of the world, King of kings and Lord of lords. Even the angels ackowledge this.
Revelation 5:12 ...Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
We reject the Son of God and refuse to hear His words or accept His work at our peril.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God.
Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Jesus gets the last word on your destiny.
I looked for Jesus in a Bible teaching church and
I found Him.
I found Him in the hearts of those who love Him.
I’m no longer looking for Jesus because now He lives in my heart.
If you want to accept the salvation Jesus offers,
tell Him:
Dear Jesus: I admit my sin, and accept your gift of salvation.
