Where Do I Go When I Die? (#103)
Bible version used: NIV
The Bible answers that question. It tells us that God created people good and placed us in a perfect world.
When we turned our backs on God and decided to live without him, pain and death entered our world.
God saw our rebellion and our pain. In his mercy, he sent his own son Jesus to take the punishment such sin demanded. Although Jesus lived a sinless Iife, he died in our place, rose from the dead and now lives in heaven.
Everyone who believes in Jesus will be saved from God’s punishment and go to be with him after death. Those who do not believe will not see heaven, but will spend eternity separated from God.
Where you go when you die depends
on what you do with Jesus.
Being good does not save us. We need to put our lives in Jesus’ hands. Trusting Jesus for our salvation not only saves us from eternal punishment but also fills our days with purpose.
If you want to trust Jesus with your life, here is
Jesus, I repent of my sins and confess that you are the only way of salvation for me. Help me in this life; and when I die, take me to heaven to be with you.
