Why Be Miserable (#224)
Bible version used: KJV/TEV
Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord.
Why be miserable...
‘I am rich and well off,’ you say, ‘I have all I need.” But you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! (Revelation 3:17)
When you could BE HAPPY
In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11)
Why be troubled...
Man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. (Job 5:7)
When you could HAVE PEACE
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee. (Isaiah 26:3)
Why be blind...
Their minds have bben kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
When you could HAVE SIGHT
Jesus said...I am come into this world, that they which see not, might see. (John 9:39)
Why be condemned...
This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19)
When you could BE FORGIVEN
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
Why be lost...
I have gone astray like a lost sheep. (Psalm 119:176)
When you could BE FOUND
For the Son of Man (Jesus) is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)
Why keep your sins...
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. (1 John 1:8)
When you could GET RID OF THEM
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins; return unto me, for I have redeemed thee. (Isaiah 44:22)
Why go to hell...
The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nationsthat forget God. (Psalm 9:17)
When you could GO TO HEAVEN
In my Father’s house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)
It is only reasonable that you would want the best for yourself for time and eternity. These blessings are for all those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
Do so today!
